Collection: Reclamation By Munderu Wa Kibugi

Reclamation By Munderu Wa Kibugi
Munderu's child faced a lot of discrimination in school and we believe this is a fitting way to show solidarity and resistance.
The design uses the Alberta Wild Rose
(which has been used by others to promote division)
It honours the History of Alberta laying on Treaties 6, 7, and 8 - and we acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands since time immemorial.
We also acknowledge the many Black settlements that shaped Alberta such as the Amber Valley- the largest Black community ever to have existed west of Ontario. Alberta's missing histories must be reflected in Education.
